Why did you get into the financial services industry?

We love using the Circle of Wealth to help people understand how money truly works! From the time money enters their hands until it is consumed and lost forever, there are so many choices they can make.

I enjoy helping people make the right choices!

Why did you get into the financial services industry?

Got into the business because my father had been a General Agent...but he didn't recruit me! A friend I know through playing basketball suggested I look into this career. But once I got into the business I was very lucky to be able to lean on the expertise and experience of my father.

I have a passion for leading prospects (and agents!) along the path to "Ah-ha!" moments. Often we pose the question "If some of the things you believe to be true about money turn out to be untrue, when would you want to find out?", but I get so much satisfaction helping discover those "truths" and then actually doing something with that newfound knowledge ti improve their lives and the lives of their family, employees, community, etc.

Why did you get into the financial services industry?

Being mathematically inclined and eventually receiving a degree in mathematics, I had opportunities to go into different disciplines of engineering or actuarial science. But I figured that if I did not really know how money works, getting a good job out of college with a good income wouldn’t serve me all that well. Then once I got into the industry I kept noticing how many people were running out of money later in retirement. So I decided to focus my efforts on understanding complicated nuances of retirement income planning.

Why did you get into the financial services industry?

Helping people understand how money works and empowering them to be the hero of their financial plan is what makes me passionate. I was introduced to the specialty of college financial planning at COW college in 2010. College is a major capital expense that families commonly struggle with.

My ideal client is 45-65 years old. As college came up repeatedly as the "What keeps you up at night" answer to the 10 open ended questions, I knew I needed to build expertise to help my clients sleep at night and feel good about their college and retirement funding plans.

Why did you get into the financial services industry?

Coming from a background in banking and finance, I've always had one message for my clients: “Be sure to pack your own parachute.” What I mean by this is that people have to be prepared for all that life will bring; especially the inevitable curveballs life often throws. One of the easiest ways to prepare financially is to have a permanent life insurance policy.

Since 2008, I've been helping families pack their own parachutes, and this is exactly what motivates me every day. At the end of the day, I want to know I made a difference in families’ lives, protecting them from financial worries through permanent life insurance when the unthinkable happens.

Why did you get into the financial services industry?

I got into the business, the tax business, at the advice of a college professor, and then the rest the areas of finance developed as a passion for helping people with finance, especially when it seemed to be a confusing difficult area for most, and I was able to develop an ability to discuss/explain things in a more clear understandable format.
